West Bay

West Bay

The cliffs at West Bay are still perilous!

There’s certainly more to come down. I had a look at low tide to ensure being well away from under them. Even at mid tide the water will put you within range of a serious rockfall.

A lovely end to the day….

A lovely end to the day….

A nice end to a lovely day, following the morning walk around the woods.

We headed to the hills, then to the coast – unfortunately I was rather lax with taking pictures owing to having muddy hands! However, we found sea sale almost ready to start sprouting, sea spinach, wild horseradish, wild parsnips, and wild leeks (Also known as elephant garlic)

Now time to go and forage a fish chowder from the pub!

A little throwback to the Summer

A little throwback to the Summer

This is the first pyramidal orchid I’d ever seen, and had to get permission to scale down the cliff to photograph it (There were others that were more accessible, but…but just because great backdrop too!)

Just to add, I’m not a photographer (and it shows!), nor do I own a decent camera, so it could have been better, You just had to be there really!
